Combining timelines in the content sidebar was broken when we made the switch to using local movie paths for a movie collection.

When copying clips from a standalone compsoer to another standalone composer, the trigger to add the clip movies to the target standalone composer was not working.

Excluded topics in composers were not being skipped properly during playback or tabbing.

MarkUp filter formula functions feature was not accessible without the preference file enabled.

🧮 Filter Formula Functions For MarkUps 🧮

A feature that many users are already using in beta testing has been turned on by default now.

We have been quietly working in the background on a feature set that supports the calculation and display of statistics on MarkUp buttons. This includes the ability to play selected clips in a timeline or composer by clicking on a button!

The new feature set leverages timeline and composer filter formulas. So, you can quickly build a filter then use the results in subsequent functions as a variable to create simple arithmetic output (+ - / *).

🐞 Bug Fixes and Maintenance 🛠️

Fixed an issued where the note font size could make the text dissappear.

Fixed a problem with Standalone movies where the videos for each clip might not appear in the correct order if the ’Separate Angle’ option was selected.

Updated collection switching when different clips in a composer are linked to different collections. It was possible in rare circumstances that a collection for a clip might not come to the front when required.

Updated dragging a movie resource onto a composer while the composer collection is playing.

Fixed the clip offset for the Synergy import for ‘Create an individual timeline and collection for each edit’.

🚚 Composer Clip Movements 🚚

By holding down Command + Control, then clicking and dragging a clip in the composer, a clip can be moved without affecting the position of the clip cursor or clip selection.

Hold down Command + Control, to select multiple clips, then drag them into new position.

Clips can be moved whilst the composer is playing! Could be handy for those last second updates.

🐞 Bug Fix 🐞

Fixed a problem in the composer when the clip cursor would move to the end of the topic when a clip was deleted.

🏀 Synergy Updates ⛹️‍♀️

Stopped duplicate team clips being created for Synergy imports.

Improved the concurrent importing of Synergy folders.

Synergy import updated to import ‘Notes’ and ‘Text Overlay’ fields.

🛠️ Maintenance 🛠️

When a composer topic header is clicked, the topic is selected as well as filtered in clips in the topic.

In the composer, when a clip is copied or moved, the clip cursor remains at or near its original position before the clip was copied or moved.

The default for the composer menu ‘Allow Playback Ignoring Clip Selection (Presentation Mode)’ has been set to ‘on’. If all menu items in the menu attached to the ‘Play’ button in the composer are set to off, then ‘Allow Playback Ignoring Clip Selection (Presentation Mode)’ is automatically set to on.

🐞 Bug Fixes 🐞

We found an issue with the angle synchronzing feature where the plus and minus offset buttons would only respond to a single click to adjust the offset. It now works like it did before the new gesture features. Thanks to UNC Field Hockey for pointing this one out!

Note, holding down Command while pressing down the plus or minus buttons will increase the speed at which the offset. This is handy if you have a movie that requires a long offset. Also, hold down Option then click on the plus or minus will reset the offset to zero.

When a timeline is copied to the desktop, then dropped onto a timeline that has clips with the same unique clip IDs, the existing start and end times are set to the new importing clip times, then the clips are merged. Prior to this, the clips were not merged which created multiple clips stacked on top of each other. Thanks to MANU for discovering this issue! It has always been there.

🤟 Gestures 🤟

After many requests, we added some trackpad gestures!

Pinching in the timeline body will zoom in and zoom out.

Two finger swiping in the timeline body will scroll left, right, up and down.

Pinching in the movie collection will zoom in and zoom out according to where the cursor is located.

Two finger swiping up and down in the movie collection will fast-forward and rewind the movie.

Two finger swiping right and left in the movie collection will fast-forward and rewind the movie.

For mousers, hold down Option and use the scroll wheel to zoom the movie collection.

Hold Shift, then click down on trackpad with one finger and move the view. Use the right mouse button with Shift down to pan.

🔊 Preferred Audio 🔊

Added menu item ’Use This Angles's Audio For Collection’ to right click menu for movie collections. This menu item sets the angle that is used for audio playback for the movie collection. If this option is not set for a collection, then the largest angle is used for audio. Holding down the option key while this option is chosen, clears this setting for the angle.

When this option is selected, Create Standalone Movie will use this as the audio track.

⛹️‍♀️ Synergy Sports Playlist Update ⛹️‍♂️

Synergy changed their CSV edit list to include a bit more data, so we took the opportunity to re-work the import. We added individual player rows and teams rows to make using the data a bit easier.

Synergy added a column called "Synergy Tags", Angles imports this as a qualifier with the player associated with tag as an attribute. So, this will be a good feature to start our basketball clients using attributes!

The import detects if the playlist format is version 1 (previous) and version 2 (latest). So, older playlists will import as they always have.

A plist file can be edited to add team colors; it is located at '/Users/Shared/Angles/Preferences/Imports/Timeline Import Colors.plist'
